Paul Stoddart began playing guitar when he was 12 studying under John Rice and began teaching at The Village School of Music in Libertyville, Illinois at age 14. In high school he played in rock groups Low Profile and Hit & Run at local venues.

Since college, he has written, recorded, arranged, produced and performed music in Chicago, San Diego, Boston and Tampa Bay. Some of the rock bands he has directed and performed in are Graphix, Brain Pleasure, Strange But Few, Play It By Ear and Great Grooviness. He found a home in Tampa, Florida, and currently plays in The Summit Band, a 24-piece Sinatra-based orchestra.
