Hillsborough County Children’s Services offers programs and services designed to empower and protect children, teens, and families.
Children in Need of Services/Families in Need of Services (CINS/FINS) – Assists youth in Hillsborough County ages 6 -17 and their families with residential and non-residential counseling services focused on anger management, problem resolution, familial conflict,
and coping skills to help reduce juvenile crime and to strengthen family bonds.
Child Care Licensing – Regulates the operations of child care centers and family child care homes in Hillsborough County. Conducts periodic inspections, investigates complaints filed against facilities, and takes enforcement action as necessary.
Case Management & Case Staffing – Develops a comprehensive plan for services for Hillsborough County youth, as well as secures and monitors coordinated services for youth and parents/guardians.
Safe Place – Licensed agency to provide shelter and counseling services to youth who are in need of immediate help and protection, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Residential Group Care – Contracts with partners to provided residential therapeutic treatment to youth who have been abused, neglected, and/or abandoned.
