Taste of Carrollwood Moves to Raymond James Stadium this SundayMarch 29, 2019
After two successful years at George M. Steinbrenner Field, the annual CABA Presents Taste of Carrollwood is moving across Dale Mabry Highway to Raymond James Stadium.
The Taste of Carrollwood will take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 31.
The free, family-friendly event continues to attract bigger crowds and more vendors each year, so the larger venue will allow attendees to enjoy new activities throughout the stadium as well as sample food in the spacious, covered concourse area.
“This year marks our first Taste of Carrollwood event at Raymond James Stadium, where we estimate between 3,000-5,000 people will join us on March 31,” said Barbara Sekely, CABA President.
The Carrollwood Area Business Association (CABA) is a networking organization comprised of over 400 member representatives in the Greater Carrollwood area. A variety of these local businesses, including restaurants and eateries, will be on hand at Taste of Carrollwood with free food tastings.
Participating restaurants include Bonefish Grill, 4 Rivers Smokehouse, Capital Tacos, Chicken Salad Chick, CoreLife Eatery, Earl of Sandwich, McAlister’s Deli, Maple Street Biscuit Company, Mission BBQ, Marlow’s Tavern, Willie Jewell’s Old School B-B-Q, Pinchers and The Cake Girl.
“In addition to free food samples and lots of giveaways from nearly 100 vendors, the Taste of Carrollwood is a free, family-fun event that encourages residents to shop local, buy local and eat local from many of Tampa’s finest restaurants,” said Danelle Castillo, CABA’s Director of Special Events.
There are several new additions to this year’s event, including an opportunity for kids to kick a field goal and to climb aboard the Raymond James Pirate Ship. There is also a 50/50 Raffle with proceeds benefiting Bay Area Greyhound Adoptions, and greyhounds will be on hand to greet attendees.
Bar 76, the luxury sports bar in the East Stadium Club, will feature celebrity chefs and a selection of 76 beers for adult attendees who purchase VIP tickets at the event or in advance. VIP reserved tables in Bar 76 also are available for purchase and include two VIP parking passes.
Entertainment includes the USF Herd of Thunder Marching Band, Dave “Flash” Morgan from Q-105, Star Wars characters, balloons and face painting. There is a scavenger hunt where completed entries give attendees the chance to win a 50-inch flat screen television.
Attendees will be able to cast their votes for “Best of Awards.” Categories include Best Taste, Best Booth and Best Giveaway.
Admission and parking are free, and no tickets are required for the free tasting on the concourse.
